The service was outstanding; Hugo attends to every detail and his team follows suit. On top of that, the food was exceptional— they crafted a dish not on the menu, Quinoto a la Huancaína with Lomo Saltado, absolutely luxurious, paired with a nice Intipalka wine.

El abuelo feels like an oasis, perfect for exploring the lagunas without the bustle of Huaraz. The rooms are large and neat, the furnishings are tasteful, and the homemade food is delicious. Breakfast covers everything you need, the garden is beautiful and tranquil, and Hugo is the most wonderful host imaginable.
