I had hoped to bring outside food to enjoy on the beautiful patio; traveling with kids and visiting beaches, it’s often convenient to grab a bite at the hotel. We found a broken light switch on the bathroom vanity, something I would have expected housekeeping to spot before our arrival, and the price was a bit high.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The only issue was that at check‑in the staff said my credit card wasn’t working, so I had to use the card machine to process payment, but later my app showed four separate transactions for the room. When I asked, the staff said all but one would be removed by morning, yet they still appear after 24 hours. I’ll give it another 24‑48 hours before filing a complaint with my credit‑card company and the hotel.

We liked that the hotel had a bar and food. We had to request clean towels and a room cleaning; the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work, and we had to ask that the shower soap be refilled.

I booked a king‑bed room with a couch, but ended up with queen beds and a chair instead.
