There was an elevator and a luggage scale to weigh your bags, which was handy. On the downside, the bathroom light had spiderwebs, a small cockroach appeared in the room, the cleaning crew seemed careless, and the constant clatter of doors outside made the noise insulation poor.

It was easy to navigate the old town of Chiang Mai and the hotel is close to the airport; the place was neat and tidy. However, the towel hook in the bathroom felt like a stretch and I couldn't find anything else to gripe about. The pool opening times were a bit late for a runner wanting to swim after a run—10 am felt too late.
