“WOULD NOT RECOMMEND”
The place was close to restaurants, but I would never recommend it. I had booked early July and at 2am I was ready to check‑in when an email told me I hadn’t supplied my credit card, threatening cancellation if I didn’t call by 11am. I was supposed to pay on arrival, so this was unnecessary. They should never have contacted me like that. I woke up with 15 minutes to spare, yet they still threatened to cancel. If a credit card is required, remove that option from the profile. I couldn’t speak to a manager—everything was virtual. At the property I used the ring to open the door, but no staff were present. The owner seems indifferent to service. The room forced me to squeeze between the bed and TV stand; the furniture was excessive. The fridge and microwave could have been arranged differently to allow more space. The AC/heating didn’t work at all. I regret booking here and advise spending money elsewhere.
There was no breakfast, or it wasn’t mentioned. The absence of front‑desk staff was a major disappointment. I couldn’t ask questions or get help for concerns, and while the remote worker I spoke with was professional, the experience felt sub‑standard. It shows the owners don’t value supporting the local economy and are likely doing just enough to provide a “fine” experience, not one that prioritizes guest satisfaction or local employment.
The room was just okay at best. I hated the kiosk check‑in and couldn’t understand the women very well—real people are preferable. I was charged twice, reported it, and was told a screenshot would go to the manager, but over a week later I still received no response. I would never return to this motel.
“Overpriced but adequate”
The door’s lock was secure, and the parking lot was well lit with many cameras, so I felt safe from theft or break‑ins. The location downtown, near a grocery store and other eateries, was decent. Check‑in/out was done via webcam, with no live person at the desk, and they asked for my credit card to hold the reservation—something no other place does when it’s not full. The room wasn’t clean: spills and blotches on the walls, rust on metal, an old hairdryer covered in dust, and the AC unit had dustballs. The floor was sticky in places, and a folded towel had hard yellow residue that hadn’t been replaced. The bed was large but the layout was poor, making it hard to open the cabinet or mini‑fridge. Overall, the vibe felt sketchy; I felt safer the second night with other guests around, but I could still hear everything through the walls.
I loved the dirty, uncapped needles under the bed. The cockroaches were the least of my worries.
