The bed was comfortable and the rooms stayed warm, yet the shower was very old and cramped, with no hot water in my room. The padlock on the outside of the room made me feel a bit uneasy, as someone could lock you in.

The place itself was pleasant, but when I arrived they couldn't give me the room I had paid for and stuck me in a cheaper one instead.

The bar staff were friendly and the food hit the spot, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired – the shower was practically unusable and the toilets were in terrible condition.

Staying here saved us a lot of driving time to see family and attend the Goovigen function, and the meals were fresh, tasty and generous. The hotel was clean and tidy overall, but there was no hook for hanging clothes, the single bed wobbled and could slide off its base, and getting hot water in the shower took ages – all while a poster reminded guests to conserve water.
