Nestled in a forest clearing near Bagnoles‑de‑l’Orne, Le Manoir du Lys lies just one hour from Mont Saint‑Michel. Guests enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, complimentary Wi‑Fi, free parking, and a shuttle to the railway station. Sound‑proof rooms feature terraces overlooking an orchard, while the Michelin‑starred restaurant serves inventive regional cuisine.

The staff’s kindness, the incredible restaurant and its surprisingly impressive menu, the chef and his whole team, the site, the welcome… EVERYTHING. “Not appreciated” is a very strong word; let’s say there’s room for improvement… maybe a small refresh of the venue in the coming months.

The location in the middle of the park is nice. The room faced a wooden shed with a red tin roof and the hotel’s trash chute ran past it late at night; I would not recommend room 12—here are photos from the balcony.
