It feels like a little palace, but it’s not suitable for hosting guests; they’ve left it, and it could be so much better. It sits on a hill, far from the center, is abandoned, lacks order and cleanliness, and you can see people live there but they don’t care about the business.

A very nice location with a view of the city while remaining quiet. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the reception was charming. A very lovely address for staying in Kandy.

The house is beautifully furnished, sits on a mountain with a stunning view, and the bed has a very comfortable mattress. The hostess brings tea and coffee at 10 a.m.; if you don’t want to be woken early, just tell her. There’s a washing machine, so you can have your clothes washed. The house is in a well‑developed area near the city center, where there are plenty of cafes, shops, and cultural attractions. The hosts seemed intrusive. We were checked in very slowly; we sat downstairs for about 20 minutes, not knowing what we were waiting for, hungry and tired from the road. Our room in the photo should have a veranda; we specifically chose this room because we smoke. In reality, it doesn’t work; they offered us a shared veranda where laundry dries. It sometimes gets cold to sleep; we only had a sheet instead of a blanket; we didn’t dare ask for one. The running shower is weak. The building is very audible, and on the second floor you’ll hear your neighbor’s snoring, the washing machine, and all the noise from the first floor. The house is on a high mountain; if you have trouble going up and down, choose another option. We were fine; sometimes we walked, sometimes we took a tuk‑tuk. If you prefer comfort and quiet, it’s best to find another option. There are ants in the toilet and sugar bowl.

The place is as it is for what you pay; you can’t ask for more for the price, so if you have a low budget it’s fine. The place has good views :) and the staff is friendly. We didn’t like the cleanliness; it seemed very dirty. The sheets were dirty, had stains, the doors didn’t close well, the sink was very dirty and full of ants. We were the only ones in the house, we could have used the other toilet, which was very precarious. To get to the place, there is no sign to find it, it’s quite hidden and a very steep climb; many tuk‑tuks didn’t want to bring us. Afterwards, they asked us to leave early because they had other guests (they have 4 rooms, they could have let us stay and didn’t).
