It was great; Sylvie is a very welcoming host, and having breakfast with her in the “troglodyte” room was very pleasant (the room’s freshness was appreciated during the summer of 2026!). The accommodation was very tidy, and the location was calm and pleasant. The bed in our room was a bit short for tall people (though very comfortable for those who fit).

The welcome was very warm and attentive. The room was comfortable, air‑conditioned, and very quiet. The only issue was that the bathroom could only be accessed by leaving the room and walking through the common corridor to other rooms (as noted in the listing that mentions an “external” bathroom). The bathtub should have a shower curtain.

The owners were friendly and helped us check in early, even though the room wasn’t ready and I didn’t realize it was 6 pm. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. However, it was pricey for what it offered. The shared toilet was unexpected, and our terrace was very basic; we had to find a couple of chairs ourselves. Getting onto the Wi‑Fi (which I never managed) would have stumped Alan Turing! To be honest, I was disappointed with Vouvray village itself, but it was convenient for reaching the airport.

We spent a lovely family stay in this pretty cottage, slept like kings thanks to the excellent bedding, and enjoyed a warm breakfast with homemade jams—thanks again!
