From the moment we stepped onto the quiet castle farm we felt like we’d slipped away from the city rush. The whole place radiates calm, warmth and a real love for the setting – the gardens, the old walls, the little touches everywhere. Eric and Tessa have turned this spot into a tiny fair‑tale, and we left only because we had to, not because we wanted to. It’s a hidden gem we’ll definitely think back to with a smile.

The bed was unbelievably comfy – I could have stayed in that room all day. It felt like sleeping on a cloud, which made the whole stay feel worth it. Nothing else really stood out, but that mattress alone made the trip pleasant.

The hotel itself is a nice building surrounded by well‑kept gardens, which gave a pleasant vibe right away. The rooms and the green area are definitely a plus, but I did feel the price was a bit steep for what you get, even if the quality matches it. Overall, a decent spot if you don’t mind paying a little extra.

“Zeer mooi, maar zeer jammer dat we ons echt niet ‘welkom’ voelden!”

The building is impressive – authentic stone work and the orchard setting with apple and pear trees felt like a real experience, and the breakfast was downright delicious. Unfortunately the staff were far from welcoming; getting a simple “good morning” felt like a battle and the overall hospitality was missing. For the price we expected a lot more warmth.
