The rooms had beautiful views, but the hotel was still a construction site and lacked most of the advertised facilities: no restaurant, no air conditioning, no reception, and a building site right outside the rooms.

The mountain view from the rooms was gorgeous and the rooms themselves were spacious; they also served a complimentary traditional Sri Lankan breakfast (kiribath) that was delicious. However, the photos and details were misleading – ongoing construction with scattered materials made the place feel more like a site than a hotel, and the rooms, located 2–3 levels below, were only reachable by stairs that became wet, slippery, and dangerous in the rain. Some hallways had sensor lights that didn’t work, leaving areas in total darkness. We stayed in three rooms: one had no running water, another had no TV channels (PeoTV was off). After dinner around 21:30, no staff were available to address any problems; the reception area was dark and the stairways had no lighting at all. We were a group of six, including two elderly guests, making the stairs particularly hazardous. Overall, the conditions and facilities made this hotel a very disappointing choice.

The view was breathtaking, especially the Ella rock panorama from the room, and the food was excellent; we requested milk rice for breakfast, which wasn’t on the menu but they made it for us. We were the only guests (2 people) and felt uncomfortable because the property was under construction with workers around, and the reception could have offered better service.

The view was good, but there was no AC, the floors were dirty, the balcony door had big gaps, and there were geckos in the room.
