A great spot to experience nature and the forest, with very friendly and helpful hosts who even picked me up when my hike ended in the wrong place. My dog was also very welcome. The deer sausage slices and honey at breakfast were delicious. The village of Koprivnik is also an interesting place historically. The kitchen could use more knives.

If you know what you’re getting into and are looking for nature and seclusion, this is the best accommodation you can wish for. If you expect a bustling life, you’re completely off track here. Matjas is the best and most helpful host you could ask for. Darca was unfortunately out of commission because of a broken leg. And the dog Don is an angel on four legs. A simple, nature‑close setup that fits the overall ambience and the host’s life motto. Compromises are necessary and you must, as said, know what you’re getting into. The “didn’t like” section is actually wrong. “What’s unusual” would be better.

We liked the quiet, the lovely garden, and the wooden room—a real nice place to recharge and wander into nature. Matjaz and Darka were genuinely kind and offered plenty of hiking tips and advice on buying local produce. No complaints, though it might help to bring food supplies and utensils since the shared kitchen is very minimal.
