“An Unpleasant Experience at Terra Adina Hotel”
I stayed at Terra Adina Hotel in Cusco and it turned out to be a very unpleasant and disappointing experience. The staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful, but that couldn't make up for the significant problems I ran into. I specifically asked for a quiet room, yet I was given what seemed to be one of the noisiest rooms in the hotel. The room lacked a proper window, letting in an extreme amount of street noise, so I couldn't sleep properly. I understand the historical character of the building, but I don't think that's an acceptable excuse. If a room can't shield guests from loud street noise, that should be clearly disclosed before booking, and such a room should never be assigned to someone who has requested quiet. I was also very disappointed with the bathrobe provided in the room; it didn't look like it had been properly washed, or maybe not washed at all, and it had a strong perfume smell that seemed to come from the previous guest. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards. Breakfast was another letdown—very basic, with limited choices and little variety. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. The staff were kind and helpful, but my request for a quiet room was ignored, the noise made it hard to sleep, and the bathrobe was unacceptable. The historical building explanation shouldn't be used as an excuse for failing to provide a reasonable level of comfort and cleanliness.
