I loved the location of this hotel - it was right on the avenue leading to the train station, and I could walk to Okayama Castle and the gardens, which was really cool. They also sold sandwiches in the lobby in the mornings, which made for a great quick breakfast on the go. The room was a bit small, but it was comfy and worked fine for two people.

close to the castle. Building is old. Rooms have not been renovated in quite a while. Room did not feel clean because of its state. Bed was really awful. Bathroom awfully small. They make you pay to store your luggages until check in (more expensive than regular coins lockers - 1k yens for a regular suitcase, 500y for a bag/little suitcase). I booked for three nights but left after one. I would not recommend this hotel at all

The hotel sits close to the station and right beside 岡山城, which is super convenient, but the paper slippers tore easily and I kept tripping over them.

Getting here was easy and cheap, but the room’s soundproofing was poor and the bed had a noticeable dip.

The hotel is a short walk from the garden and the castle, about 15‑20 minutes to the station, with a market and many restaurants nearby, and they even let us check in early—thanks for that; however, the renovation is long overdue.
