The staff were friendly and listened to my complaints, mentioning that fixes are coming for the beds and bathroom—hoping it improves. The dorm beds were okay, but the double room I stayed in for two nights had the worst bed I've slept on; I saw a comment about "all spring no bed" and it matched my experience. Being right next to bars meant constant noise until 2 am. The bathroom floor was somewhat dirty, and out of the three shower stalls, the left one had super hot water, the right one wasn’t hot enough, and only the middle stall provided a good temperature.

The hostel’s location is great, with a large dry room in the basement and excellent showers. Dorm beds are comfortable enough, though the standard hostel dorm size means you should be aware if you have large bags. It sits right in the heart of Echoland bars, and a bus stop is nearby, offering great value for the Hakuba area. The check‑in staff were rather unhelpful, seeming annoyed by the process; I had to ask where the showers and luggage storage were, and they weren’t very helpful explaining the bus system.

It’s centrally located in Echoland, but it’s noisy and overpriced.

The location in Echoland is great, close to many food spots and bars. Kai and other staff members know a lot about nearby resorts and train and bus schedules. I highly recommend staying here. The price might feel a bit steep for a hostel, but you have to pay to play.
