The staff were very kind, the food was excellent, and the musicians kept the evening atmosphere lively, but the rooms were small and smelled strongly of kitchen fumes that climbed the stairs and invaded the hallways.

I booked three nights but walked out after the first because the room didn’t even have a tiny fridge, which in late July is essential for cold water. The roof‑window let in unfiltered sunlight that blinded me, and none of the reception staff spoke English; even the host messaged me in Romanian, forcing me to rely on Google Translate. I cancelled through the booking site and was promised a refund of the price difference, which never arrived.

“Fabulos!”

The location was great, but our room sat above or near the kitchen/restaurant, so the smell of food drifted in through the window. Otherwise, the cleaning was impeccable, the linens were clean, the room and bathroom were spacious, and the price was very good. Parking in the area was an issue, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about. The room was cute, elegant, and all the electronics worked perfectly. The bathroom’s drainage system was poor, so shower water lingered in the tub. The restaurant’s food aroma was another minor nuisance, seeping into the room until late at night when the restaurant closed. Despite these two inconveniences, our stay was very pleasant. Thank you to the hosts!
