“We wanted a weekend away to explore the Hunter. The apartments are in a great location and makes it easy to get around.”

The spot was spot on, and the apartments were tidy and cozy. Still, with the boutique name and the price, I expected a touch more luxury; the rooms felt a little old‑fashioned, a bathroom door was rotting, and the spare pillows in the wardrobe had no pillowcases. I wish they offered plush robes so guests could enjoy breakfast outside in their pajamas without worrying about neighbors, since all the balconies are open.

The villa offered a great location and lovely views, but it wasn’t very clean. A toilet roll holder kept falling off and the shower head had issues, so the place could use a little revamp.

The room had no ventilation unless the door was left open, and the noise from the next door was unbearable. The digital check‑in wouldn’t recognize Australia, so I had to call for help, which left me unhappy.

“Weekend stay for wedding.”

The location was convenient, just a 10‑minute drive to the wedding venue, which was the purpose of my trip. The room was a good size for a family, very clean, and the kitchen had all the equipment I needed, including an iron and ironing board that proved handy. Sitting on the sofa bed was uncomfortable because the cushions sank in; the AC and light switches were oddly placed, and the kitchen sink plug needed replacement as water just drained away while washing up.
