The pool area is convenient, and you can leave your car in the paid parking lot. Breakfast was great, and the city center café is nearby.

The breakfast, redeemable with a voucher at a large off‑site restaurant, was excellent. The mattress, however, feels quite worn and should be replaced.

The room was tidy and clean, right in the heart of Trieste. It even has a small kitchenette (though you can’t really cook there) and a little balcony overlooking the street. The room price includes vouchers for breakfast at the nearby Traditionscafé Café degli Specci, which, thanks to its atmosphere and location, every Trieste visitor should try (currently a breakfast there costs 13 € per person without a voucher, and there’s a wide selection). Before arrival, you receive an email asking you to check in through a third‑party platform, uploading a photo of your ID and a selfie with the ID. Even if all that is correct, I found it somewhat concerning from a privacy perspective. The room is a kind of mini‑apartment on the second floor of a regular residential building where locals live, but the same provider also rents out apartments/rooms to guests short‑term. That wasn’t clear to me when booking (my fault), and I also think it’s not great from a gentrification/rent‑increase standpoint.

Frukosten på det berömda kaféet i närheten var utmärkt. Vi hade även en kaffemaskin med kaffekapslar. Vi anlände efter stormen, som hade orsakat översvämning på bottenvåningen. Byggnadens ytterdörr stod öppen hela natten, och lägenhetsdörren hade en mycket enkel kodlåsning, så vi kände oss otrygga hela natten. Sängen var inte bekväm för två personer, och det fanns i stort sett inga köksredskap
