The owner made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. There’s a huge garden with lovely flowers and home‑grown vegetables. Our room had a terrace overlooking the garden and the monastery. The area is really quiet compared to Leh’s noisy streets. The place is about a 10‑minute uphill walk from Leh’s centre. It was fine for us to make the trip to Leh’s shops and restaurants a few times a day, but I can see why people would prefer staying right in the centre.

Easy access, clean and beautiful rooms, great location. No fan, so we had to deal with mosquitoes.

I liked the rooms and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was made to order, but many people had long waits and it wasn’t clear what could be done; the marmalade had already fermented, the butter looked dirty, and a clean buffet breakfast would fix all that.

The welcome was friendly, breakfast was freshly made and included, the rooms were adequate, and the location was great. Some areas could use a modern touch, but for the price that’s fine.
