“Vergognoso”
I was disappointed by the resort because the staff were completely unavailable and rude. The room I had chosen was assigned incorrectly, there was no running water, and the hot‑tub didn’t work; the staff handled all of this poorly and were very argumentative when I complained. The rooms were poorly maintained: there were no mosquito nets, especially on the bathroom windows, toilet paper was stuck in the bathroom cracks that faced outside, and in our lodge there was a rotten wood hole in the middle of the shower tray from which dozens of cockroaches emerged in the middle of the night. Because the resort didn’t provide emergency numbers, I had to ask the security guard, who didn’t speak English. When I told the staff about the incident the next day, they never apologized; instead they scolded me for being inflexible. When we returned, the room hadn’t been cleaned and we found dozens of dead cockroaches and used towels that had been left from the previous night to seal a crack under the bathroom door. In short, the 5‑star rating is completely unwarranted because of the staff’s lack of professionalism and the overall neglect of details. I would not recommend it.
