The place is just a stone’s throw from Copacabana beach, which made stepping out super easy. Honestly, I didn’t find a single thing to complain about – everything was fine and I liked it all.

The room reeked of something rotting, like a dead animal, and there were signs of people who had been living there. No window, the smell was unbearable and I literally spent the night on the floor because I couldn’t stand sleeping on that bed. I’d skip this place even if it were the only option – better to sleep on the street.

The only thing that’s actually decent is the location, but that hardly matters given the string of issues. The listing was misleading – they advertised a private room with a balcony, a double and a single bed, a stove and a garden, yet it turned out to be a windowless shared house with just a mattress on the floor and a wobbly shelf that nearly fell. Nothing matched the description.

This place is downright unsanitary – the ceiling was collapsing, the bed was crawling with bugs, outlets were exposed, and insects swarmed everywhere. The kitchen smelled foul, trash was scattered around, and overall it felt unsafe to stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone; it shouldn’t be listed as accommodation at all.
