The curtains were dirty and broken, making it feel like stepping back in time. Upgrading the rooms to look and feel nicer isn’t hard, but it seems they don’t walk through the rooms to check their condition. It feels like they don’t put any effort in.

“Chercher ailleurs… mais allez voir Gand, c’est absolument magnifique!”

The hotel’s location near the historic center and the view from the room window were great, but the reception was very cold. Check‑in wasn’t possible until 16:30, and the mini‑fridge was only fixed the day before we left, even though we stayed for three nights. We were also overcharged for parking—charged for four days when we only used it three, so we ended up paying an extra 30€. The equipment was old, the bed was uncomfortable, and a stale smell hit us as soon as we entered the hotel. The carpet in the room was worn and frayed, the air‑conditioning was noisy and didn’t work, and we didn’t dare try the breakfast, which cost 24€ per person, because the dining room was empty.

“ロケーションのよい親切なホテル。”

I had to change my plans abruptly because I was feeling ill, so I booked a stay in Ghent and ended up staying several nights. The staff accommodated my last‑minute booking and early check‑in request, which was a huge help.

The room was nice and the rent was good, but it was too hot and the air‑conditioner didn’t work.

“Zweckmäßig für 1-2 Übernachtungen um Gent zu erkunden.”

The location is great and the reception staff are very friendly, but the rooms are outdated and the underground parking is a real risk. Nothing can be changed about the parking, but the rooms definitely need renovation.
