“Aussicht Top, Rest Flop :(”
The view from the hotel was lovely, looking straight over the forest, and the location was good because many sights were reachable within about 1‑2 h. The breakfast buffet was partially stocked with low‑quality brands, the juices weren’t properly chilled or labeled, and the cake tasted stale. In the bathroom, silverfish appeared occasionally, indicating a moisture issue; the bathroom felt somewhat old‑fashioned, and getting into the shower and back out was an adventure, especially for older guests. Because many Dutch guests were present, the noise level during dinner was often extreme, with conversations happening across tables. In the half‑board plan, the three‑course menu seemed to consist of frozen and pre‑made items.
“Ein guter Tipp für ein paar Tage im Odenwald”
The room was large with a fan (essential with the high outside temperatures), the restaurant offered good food and air‑conditioning, the beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, the setting was beautiful and quiet, and it was a good base for hikes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The menu at the restaurant could have included more small (cold) dishes in the evening, and an elevator would help older guests.
We had a lovely stay at the Weissen Lamm; the staff were very friendly and helpful, the meals delicious, the breakfast varied and fresh, and alternative options were offered immediately for allergies. The surroundings were very quiet.
The food was very good, but there was no garden.
The hotel was well kept and we felt comfortable; the hospitality was great and service superb. The modern furnishings surprised us, the place was quiet and the location unique, and the food was high‑quality and tasty.
