The place sits on a tiny hill with great views, and the rooms are comfortable, clean, and have either private or shared bathrooms. The host is super friendly, knows a lot about Brazil/Rio, and helps book tours through his contacts. Breakfast is nice and basic. The only downside is the 10‑minute walk to the commercial area because of the hill, though taxis or Ubers get you there quickly. Walking is pleasant and safe. Wi‑Fi on the third floor is a bit slow.

The B&B is run by a lovely couple and feels more like a boutique hotel than a simple lodging. It’s tucked away on a lush hillside, giving a peaceful little oasis vibe and absolute tranquility at night, with occasional wildlife wandering around. Rob and Richard are fantastic hosts, full of stories and eager to share local tips for exploring Rio. Breakfast is another highlight – absolutely fabulous, with delicious food freshly prepared by their chef, a lovely way to start each morning. The only issue was that Wi‑Fi didn’t work in our room, though it was available elsewhere on the property, so it wasn’t a major inconvenience.

“A little slice of paradise in Rio”

It’s a beautiful retreat from the busy city, with amazing views, delicious breakfast, and very relaxing. Rob and Ricardo were so helpful. We loved lying in the hammocks and seeing the tortoises in the garden. Nothing really! It takes a while to get Ubers up the hill, but Ubers are cheap in Rio and we were glad we didn’t stay in a busier neighbourhood.

The location was great, we could move to several neighborhoods easily, the neighborhood was very calm and pleasant, and the nature inside and outside the property was beautiful. Everything was clean, the breakfast was well served, and the owners and staff were excellent. Richard and Rob had a lot of information for touring the city, which was great, so we could enjoy each day even when it rained.

“TOP !”

Staying in a small green paradise, this little haven is a joy of simple elegance. The owners are lovely and attentive, making it easy for guests. Good advice and smiles are part of the program. And of course, the morning coffee is excellent.
