Vernon Hostel

A super great budget‑friendly hostel to stay in! The location is right in downtown Vernon, and the owner made sure we felt right at home. The rooms are what you’d expect from a hostel but were comfortable and even had a smart TV in the private rooms, which was a pleasant surprise! He also returned my water bottle that I’d accidentally left behind, adding that extra touch. I’d definitely stay here again.

“Irritating”

The place was spotless and right in the middle of everything, which was a big plus. But the owner was a real headache—always hovering, trying to control where I went, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. Check‑out was early, too. A different landlord would make it a lot better.

I liked the spot—central and easy to get to—and the staff were super helpful and welcoming. The kitchen, fridge, and dining area were handy. The building is clean, but there's still some work to be done; the first thing you notice when you walk in is a strong odor.
