The agritourismo sits peacefully in the mountains between Orosei and Dorgali, and you can reach all East Coast sights quickly by car. Andrea is a friendly, caring host who prepares a custom breakfast, much of it homemade. The dinner is generous, always different, delicious, and lovingly cooked by Andrea—even when you’re the only guest. I would have liked to chat more with Andrea, but he only speaks Italian, so we had to rely on a translator app most of the time. The apartment is quite spartan and not very cozy, but everything is very clean.
“Loved the experience, the homemade food, and a chance to practice my Italian!”
The location is great and truly immerses you in Sardinian culture. Andrea was welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. Since it’s an agriturismo, the accommodation is simple, which matched my expectations, so there were no negatives.
“We would absolutely stay there again & consider Andrea and his niece Louiza to be lovely new friends”
We appreciated that it wasn't a soulless luxury all‑inclusive; the owner’s mother had kept the place full of family photos and personal items, and Andrea was very attentive and generous. He cooked a varied, tasty dinner of traditional farm‑made dishes that we could pay a reasonable fee to enjoy on any evening. Breakfast also featured homemade yogurt and marmalade (orange, lemon, fig). We liked the family history vibe, the nighttime quiet, the natural scenery with fruit trees, and the friendly cats—especially Celestina the Siamese in the courtyard. The shower, bidet, and A/C in the room were great, and the beach Cala Gineapro, recommended by several other guests, was our favorite. It was a bit awkward at first to communicate with Andrea, but he tried to use Google Translate to clarify our needs and answer questions. If we had spoken Italian he could have suggested places to visit for our itinerary, but other English‑speaking guests helped us during meal conversations. Also, we’re not sure what happened, but he didn’t realize we were expected on our booking date. Whether that was a mistake on our end or his, I’m not clear, but the first 20 minutes there were a little up in the air. He was a gentleman and offered us a cold drink while sorting out the situation. We had everything we needed and a lovely room within 30 minutes’ wait.
“A wonderful place to relax and experience rural Sardinia.”
Everything was spotless and quiet; Andreas was a wonderful, caring host, and the food he cooked gave a fantastic Sardinian dining experience. The sea and mountain view is spectacular. The shower, however, is rather small.
A quiet, peaceful place with sunrise views over the sea, a rural vibe, homemade preserves, cheeses, and yogurt.
