I stayed at a nice place where the breakfast was both tasty and diverse. The restaurant service was very disorganized: we ordered a toasted item, never received it, had to cancel, and the staff never logged our order, so we got a refund.

The food, beds, pools, and surroundings were great, but when I entered the spa I found the ladies’ bathroom missing a door and no hand‑paper anywhere; as a Howard Johnson I’d expect better. In the sauna the wall panels were falling off and there were no soaps in the bathroom area, which is a minimal shortfall considering everything else offered.

The hotel’s surroundings are green and the outdoor areas are well kept. The room is spacious and comfortable. The heated pool is nice after a long journey and it’s clean. The reception was pleasant. Breakfast is varied, served buffet style, and the hours are convenient. We got a large discount so the value was correct, but a hotel at this price should pay attention to details: the hallway carpet is very worn, our bathtub had been broken and patched crudely. The welcome cocktail tastes very “distinctive”; a simpler version would be better. I don’t recommend the hotel restaurant because the service is poor. They offer paella but they ran out of rice, our cocktail was served at least 20 minutes after ordering, and the dishes that arrived were not ours. Finally, at check‑out the room rate was much higher than advertised and the meals hadn’t been counted, so I had to handle a payment while still on the road.
