Hotel Centar No.1

“Staff went out of their way to assist”

The reception staff really went out of their way to help with printing tickets, onward travel directions and keeping our medications cold and freezer packs frozen. The location is excellent, on the edge of the pedestrian area but accessible by transport. The breakfast selection is enormous.

“Not a 4 star hotel. I asked twice for an iron and they totally ignored me. 2 stars for location.”

The spot’s great, but the carpets were stained and there was black mold in the bathroom.

Only the location was good. Throughout our stay no cleaning was done, and when we asked, they replied that they do not clean during the stay. Despite us saying how important cleanliness is and asking, it still wasn't done. Our sheets were never changed, the room never swept, the bathroom never cleaned. Cleaning during the stay is not a concern for this hotel, and there is no lobby, so there is no area to stay.

The hotel sits in an absolutely excellent spot right on Republic Square, offering a great view of the square. Everything is within walking distance and all major public transport is nearby. The shopping street is only 100 m away. I was very satisfied with the hotel and the very friendly staff. I’d come back, especially for a short trip to beautiful Belgrade. An absolutely great hotel! Very clean and a good breakfast. It can get a bit noisy in the evening from surrounding restaurants, cafés, and the busy street, but that’s normal for the location.

The location is superb, facing Republic Square with several authentic Chinese restaurants nearby, and transport is easy. The hotel is a historic building; if they could work on freshening the air, the stay would feel even better.
