“Value for money”
We were given an air‑conditioned ground‑floor room with a clean double bed, two bottles of mineral water, two old but clean towels, a small soap bar, two toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The young staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom had a Western‑style toilet, a hot water shower, and a large bucket with a scoop. Free Wi‑Fi worked well. The next morning it rained, and we paid IDR 10,000.‑ for a hot coffee and a hot tea. Despite its location on a busy bus route, the place was quiet enough, and there was a spacious parking shelter for motorbikes and cars. The flat‑screen TV had poor reception (only one free channel at a time), there was no sink in the bathroom, a cockroach wandered across the floor, the bedroom and bathroom floors hadn’t been cleaned before arrival, the shower’s hot water was lukewarm on the second day, and again no sink.
