Located in the northern end of Blackpool Promenade, the Best Western Carlton Hotel overlooks the Flyde Coast, offering stunning sea views from some rooms. Breakfast was lovely, the staff were excellent, and the evening meals were very good. Everything was fine, though our room was a little small for a superior king.

It was central and the staff were friendly and helpful. our room was extremely small - very little space and one side of the bed against the wall . Not easy for 80 year olds!!

The family room was comfortable and not too cramped, but there were dogs left in rooms down the corridor that barked incessantly.

The breakfast staff was top‑class, but the room was a nightmare—mouldy, paint peeling even after treatment, and a sewage stench in the bathroom. I heard scratching in the wall cavity, probably vermin, and the staff’s low morale made interactions awkward. When I asked the manager to discuss my concerns, he avoided me and sent a staff member to reply in a cowardly way.
