They completely forgot to leave the keys out, and nobody could be reached on the phone because it was just sitting in an empty office. I only avoided being stranded after a lucky staff member appeared after 30 minutes on the stairs. There was no duvet, just a sheet, which is unheard of even in warm places – you’ll feel freezing. The shower was a real danger: no hot/cold indicators, and I burned myself twice when the water suddenly hit boiling. I know I shouldn’t expect too much, but I can’t recommend staying here. The only redeeming factor is the great location.
“Dissapointed in the place, in photos shows potential but when you get there it's small and damp.”
The spot is great. But room 005 was damp, with moldy walls and a stained ceiling, and the window net was ripped. Noise was brutal – the building’s walls let sound through, so I could hear the washing machine at 7 am. The shower water was dangerously hot; I burned myself, and one day there was no hot water at all. I’m not judging it against a hotel, but I expected clean, dry walls and fresh air.
The place sits right in the center, close to bus stops, ferries on the other side of the road, shops, and restaurants. The kitchen has everything you need. We got a room facing the street and the building entrance, so it was very noisy – you could hear traffic and people walking (the window is right on the sidewalk), and the doors of people entering the building creaked loudly, along with their conversations. I think rooms on the inner side of the building are much quieter. Some items need fixing: the kitchen tap and the fridge that slid off its base and is crooked.
Everything was perfect. Nothing to complain about.
“Enjoyed staying and recommend to others”
Good location and helpful staff
