“Not beachfront”

The sheets, shower, and AC were all top-notch, and the laundry service was a lifesaver. But what really stood out was the wildlife - we had monkeys swinging from the trees right outside our room, which was a real treat. However, the hotel's description of a 'private beach' was a bit of a joke. The reality is that you have to walk through a cafe to get to a rocky beach that's littered with trash. If you're looking for a proper beach experience, it's a 5-minute taxi ride to Kantiang Bay.

The room was quite comfortable, and the view from the window was amazing. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is not ideal for walking around the island, and you'll need a scooter to get to the interesting beaches and places. The Wi-Fi in the room was also pretty much non-existent. What really ruined my experience, though, was that there was no safe in the room, and the doors and windows didn't lock properly.

“Katastrof”

This place was a total letdown. The ad said it was close to the beach, but what they meant was that it was a 2km hike over rocks and stones along the coast. The spa they mentioned was actually 2km away, and the nearest shop was 1.5km away. The fridge in my room was broken, making a loud noise that I had to unplug, and what they called a "Dutch cabin" was just a short pipe hanging over the toilet.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. The room wasn't cleaned at all during my stay.

“Petit hôtel au sud de koh Lanta”

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and accommodating, whether it was renting scooters, booking taxis, or cleaning the rooms. The view from the room was also lovely. However, you'll need a scooter to get around the island, and there's no breakfast at the hotel. That being said, I think the quality-price ratio was pretty good.
