The staff made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay, and the restaurant on the upper floor has a cozy terrace that lets you escape the street chaos; they cook with great care and serve very traditional dishes. The entrance is confusing and it doesn't look like a hotel at first glance.

The room was very nice, but it was really the friendly people who turned it into a home! The food was simply indescribably good, the best I’ve had during my time in Sri Lanka. Standing on the street, you can't tell where to go without help, and the entrance is initially confusing because something is nested.

The family who welcomed us was very friendly, and we appreciated the personalized advice on tours and outings; the food was very good and the location is great. We had a plumbing issue with the showers, a first in the hotel, but we liked the family's attitude and the commercial gesture.

The Sacred City Tourist Resort is a hidden gem in Anuradhapura, a little jungle in the city. The owners, two fantastic people, guided us to visit both days; without them we would have missed one of the most beautiful experiences of the trip. We also enjoyed fantastic dinner and breakfast.
