The staff were kind. Everything else was a mess. The room was dirty, and as soon as we entered we discovered a leaking pipe in the bathroom. They fixed it, but after the first flush it leaked again. We had dinner with grilled fish (cernia) that was served cold. The only positive thing about the place is the overall courtesy of the staff.

The owner and staff were great and we became friends right away; they’re very honest and transparent. The beach isn’t the best and needs government‑sponsored renovation, but they organize trips to other islands at no extra cost, plus fishing, dolphin watching, and snorkeling trips. They helped us exchange currency and you can pay by card or in other currencies. They also arranged a speedboat for us, payable by card. The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are decent. They offer American, continental, and Maldivian breakfasts, and you can even request anything to be cooked. We caught fish and cooked it in the kitchen. The owner is a certified diving instructor who can arrange dives on another island. By the way, his Instagram is @bob___sea—you can message him directly. Hithaadhoo Island needs cleaning, and there aren’t many nice restaurants on the island.
