“Friendly staff, clean rooms and a pool”
The place was spotless, the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help, and getting there from the city centre was a breeze. The pool was a nice bonus too.
“Quiet spot with a pool, odd kitchen layout”
The neighbourhood was quiet and the vibe around the pool was pleasant. In my room the kitchen was blocked by an odd pillar and the sink had no water hookup, but I wasn’t planning to cook so it didn’t bother me.
“Quiet oasis near town, staff quick to help”
Just a ten‑minute walk from the centre, the hostel feels like a tiny oasis with a pool and a garden full of fruit trees, and it’s very quiet and spotless. The volunteers are sweet and Giulio is incredibly accommodating; when the AC in my room died they promptly handed me a fan and even offered a room change, which I declined.
“Great staff and location, kitchen beam a minor hassle”
Julio and the rest of the team were really helpful, and the spot is close to lots of eateries while the main bus terminal is only about twenty minutes away. We liked the bike rentals, the pool for a quick dip, and the on‑site laundry. The only drawback was a low beam smack in the middle of the kitchen, which made moving around a bit cramped, but it didn’t ruin the stay.
“Warm staff and great pool, but the facilities need work”
The people running the place are genuinely warm – I ended up extending my stay even after a shaky first night, and the outdoor area with its pool and solid AC made the Albanian summer bearable. The building shows its age; the kitchen feels like a grab‑bag of odds and ends and lacks simple things like tea towels, and the dorm bathroom I used could have been cleaner, especially the toilet. Also, the lockers aren’t lockable, so you’ll need to keep valuables somewhere safe.
