The location is great, right across from the train and bus station, and it’s very convenient to catch a bus to Sa Pa or Hanoi.

The hotel is near the station, but the stairwell had no lights, which felt unsafe when we were carrying luggage and little kids at night. The air conditioning barely worked, the bathroom basin wasn’t properly plumbed so water spilled onto the floor before draining into the shower, the “double beds” were no bigger than a king single and were very hard—luckily we didn’t have to sleep there—and there were no batteries for any remotes.

Very close to the train station, the price is cheap and affordable, but there’s no lift, so you have to climb the stairs.
