We stopped there for the night because it was convenient, but the only elevator was broken. My daughter had to descend the stairs to investigate, and the clerk was unhelpful and unkind, saying the owner would arrive at noon even though it was 7:15 am and we still had nine hours of driving. When she returned, the fire alarm blared as we were on the third floor with a disabled adult and three kids who weren’t used to stairs. The alarm eventually stopped, but it was very stressful. I called the local fire rescue non‑emergency line, and they arrived about ten minutes later, safely escorted us downstairs, and had already dealt with the same issue that morning. The clerk remained unconcerned throughout.
