The location and the way the inn operates in the room are great, but there was nothing else.

Lost Lisbon, a boutique hotel on Lisbon’s historic Cais do Sodré, offers Tejo River views from its second‑floor rooms. Each artist‑designed room features a private ensuite and free WiFi. Steps from the metro, train station, and 8 km to the airport, the property sits within walking distance of Chiado, Bairro Alto, and Príncipe Real.

The atmosphere felt like old Lisbon.

The décor was really cool and original, rooms were tidy, and the breakfast spread was huge and nice. Staff were helpful and check‑in was easy. It sits right by the sea with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The only downside was no air conditioning or ventilation; you could open the window but it was noisy outside.

The location was great, but the stay fell far below expectations for several reasons: the bathroom is outside the room, lacks proper ventilation, and has a constant, annoying damp smell; the room had no air conditioning and was so hot it was almost impossible to sleep, the only fan was extremely loud, and keeping the window open was impractical because it faces a busy, noisy street at any hour; basic comforts were missing, such as a small fridge or minibar, which is essential with high temperatures; the entrance and common areas were dirty, neglected, and had a strong, unpleasant urine odor upon arrival; breakfast was very limited with almost no variety; given the cost, the value for money was terrible. The property needs urgent maintenance and hygiene work. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The place is in a central spot and the living room is pleasant. However, there was no air conditioning so the room got very hot; we had to open the windows to cool down, but then traffic noise made it hard to sleep.
