The spot is right where you want to be—quiet, tidy and really cozy, and the host was super friendly. Everything was spotless and nicely arranged, which made the stay pleasant. The only downside was the bed; it wasn’t comfortable at all, but aside from that it was a solid experience.

I wasn’t told this was a hostel, so I ended up sharing space with other guests and had to chase down the right address after the owner gave me two wrong ones. The rooms are tiny—what’s called a “quad” turned out to be the smallest room, and the photos online were misleading. On‑site there’s a welcome book that calls it Hostel Vila das Grutas, but the listing never mentions that name.
