It was a wonderful starting point for exploring Cotopaxi. Darwin arranged an unforgettable horseback ride right at Cotopaxi for us, and the dinner at the hot stone in the accommodation was highly recommended. The fireplace atmosphere was not only romantic but also very warm in the evenings and mornings. The bathroom felt a bit small, and it was really rat‑cold at night, but that’s part of the experience.

The view was magnificent. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. We rented bikes to cycle to Cotopaxi. There wasn’t much else to mention.

The owners were very friendly, their demeanor was warm, and they were attentive to my partner from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the garden and views were beautiful. The only downside is that the road to get there is quite bad, but that isn’t the fault of the accommodation.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. Ruta de Los Volcanoes is a beautiful, comforting, and welcoming place. Darwin and his family were incredibly kind, friendly, and offered top‑quality hospitality. Darwin organized a horse‑riding trip for us and also a solo/private mountain‑bike ride for me. Biking down Cotopaxi was an incredible experience that left a smile on my face. Darwin arranged my guide, ensured he spoke English, and packed a lovely lunch. The food prepared by Darwin and his mother was hard to describe—fresh, local, and delicious. Every dish was flawless, and you could taste Darwin’s passion for cooking in each bite. We hope to return to Ecuador next year, and if we do, we will definitely come back to see Darwin and his family. Thank you again. Staying at Ruta de Los Volcanoes and Cotopaxi was one of the highlights of our trip. There is nothing negative to say about this accommodation; it was excellent in every way.

Hair dryer available, the room in Casa Nueve was beautiful and bright, freshly renovated, cozy and spacious, located in a quiet area with a view of the greenery; the restaurant was tasty, cozy, and the host was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious. The heaters only start at 18:00, there is only one small fan for a large room, the location is quite remote and not very flexible without a car, there are no activities or trails directly from the accommodation, and there is no view of Cotopaxi.
