“2 star not 5 star”
I was really looking forward to my five-night stay at Hotel Adam in Ao Nang, but unfortunately, the experience fell well short of my expectations. I’m fortunate enough to travel regularly and enjoy staying in quality five-star hotels, so I have a reasonable understanding of the standards that should come with such a rating. Sadly, Hotel Adam simply doesn’t deliver. In my opinion, this is a three to four-star property at best, and even then, certain aspects need significant improvement. Room Facilities and Storage One of my first disappointments was the complete lack of adequate storage space for clothing. For a hotel welcoming guests for extended stays, the limited storage is simply impractical. Living out of a suitcase for five nights is hardly what I would expect from a supposedly luxurious hotel. I requested additional clothes hangers, along with an iron and ironing board, to make things a little easier. Unfortunately, these never materialised. These are fairly basic requests that should be handled without guests having to chase them. Cleanliness – A Major Concern Perhaps my biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of the bathroom. In my opinion, it had not been properly cleaned following the previous guest’s departure. For any hotel, cleanliness should be non-negotiable, but particularly one presenting itself as a five-star establishment. This really isn’t acceptable. Breakfast – Very Poor Breakfast was another letdown. I opted for the Western breakfast, which arrived cold, with fried eggs that were undercooked. I ended up sending the meal back. A good breakfast should be one of the pleasures of staying in a quality hotel, not something you find yourself complaining about first thing in the morning. Hotel App – Constant Sales Notifications Guests are encouraged to download the hotel’s app, which initially seems convenient. Unfortunately, I found the constant promotional notifications irritating
