Everything was top‑notch: the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the grounds were clean with accessible trails, and the library was a nice spot to relax. We met a mix of researchers, birders, and tour groups, and the food was delicious with staff willing to accommodate substitutions. Can't wait to come back later this year.

“simply wonderful”

One week wasn't enough—this place is a nature lover's dream with diverse habitats, trails, and wildlife, and you can choose to explore or just relax with three solid meals and coffee any time. The new building's room had better insulation and cooler floors, excellent linens, laundry, and Wi‑Fi, and the staff were kind and attentive, giving the place a research‑station vibe that felt safe.

The guided garden tour was amazing—everything from the layout to the plant descriptions was spot on. A must‑do for anyone visiting.
