“Mmmmm, I’d look a little further next time”
I liked the location, that was great. It was also very quaint, the beds were quite comfortable and the large balconies were nice. The manager was very helpful but (a couple of concerns there). Breakfast was simple but good, omelette, toast, fruit and yogurt. There is no restaurant at the hotel. The balcony room is misleading, it’s the tiniest of balconies that you couldn’t really spend any time on (nice if you want to open the door though). My friend didn’t book a balcony room but got a free upgrade, so paid less than me 🤔 We stayed 3 nights and our rooms were not cleaned once. This next could be a cultural misunderstanding but…the manager sent me a WhatsApp message the first night I was there, at 8 pm. Used my first name, had no point to his message, just “hello Terrie”. It felt odd so I immediately turned it back to business and said I needed to talk to him about the train next day. He told me the train would be fine and then said “are you still awake dear?” Just felt a bit creepy.
