The building looks nice and the check‑in was easy, plus the breakfast was good. The location is great for exploring the northern LA attractions. The pool is pretty, but one side faces a parking lot and a sound barrier would have been appreciated. The washing machine only accepts cash and the hotel doesn’t provide detergents.
The location is mediocre: outside the hotel, there were often untrustworthy people wandering around. The room was left uncleaned, though the house‑keeping usually works every other day. The pool is tiny and looks out onto a parking lot—definitely could be better for the price and the brand. If you have a car, it’s a good spot to reach Santa Monica in about 40 minutes, and the Walk of Fame is a 15‑minute walk.
“Bon hôtel”
The hotel ends up in a convenient location, 15–20 minutes on foot from the Walk of Fame. The equipment is decent and the breakfast is good. Because the city is so spread out, a car is necessary; public transport isn’t convenient. For example, the hotel is 10–15 minutes by car to Universal Studios, but it takes 40 minutes by metro. Nothing special to note otherwise.
The breakfast and the overall cleanliness were solid. The front‑desk lady could have been a little friendlier; I wondered if she was just being difficult.
“Buono ma migliorabile”
The spot is good, close to Los Angeles’s main sights. The room is spacious with comfortable beds, plenty of toiletries, and it’s very quiet. Breakfast is decent. The on‑site parking costs $55 per night, which feels steep; I understand they don’t change towels daily, but the room should be cleaned more often. The deposit is also high—$300 for three nights.
