The Best Saintonge is unforgettable. First, the place: old buildings beautifully restored and modern rooms/apartments, all comfortable and tastefully decorated. Then the very friendly welcome from the hosts, which makes all the difference. Forget soulless chain hotels. Take the time to explore and enjoy this experience. The garden breakfast… what a great way to start the day! We’ll come back.
A very pleasant stay at this guesthouse! We were warmly welcomed by adorable, attentive hosts. The setting is welcoming and relaxing. The facilities were impeccable and everything was perfectly maintained. We highly recommend this place and will return with great pleasure.
A very beautiful night at Best Saintonge! The welcome is warm, the facilities, the pool, and the rooms—all are superb and impeccably clean! The breakfast is the same great quality, and the hosts are friendly 👏 Don’t hesitate! 😀😀
Very comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped for self‑catering if needed. Air conditioning was a lifesaver during the heatwave. The continental breakfast was lovely, and the pool was nice, though I didn’t use it much. Cycling along the cycleways to Port d'Envailles was easy. The location is quite remote, but a little research helps. Internet wasn’t working properly and phone signal was limited—probably a one‑off.
The pool, the hammam, the massaging seat, the setting. I had booked an apartment with a kitchen and private parking, but upon arrival I was given a room without a kitchen without prior notice, even though the gentleman had called the day before to say I shouldn’t arrive before 17:00 so I could prepare a meal and coffee for the next day. That wasn’t possible—I only had a salad. Fortunately, the highlight was that when I asked for an invoice, the gentleman replied, “Encore ça.” Very rude… double standards. He was kind to other guests, so maybe it was my “poor car” and missing teeth? I stayed polite all the way through.
