“Lovely stay for a lay in the hammock with a good book!”
I had a pleasant stay here. My room featured a king bed and a single bed, plenty of space to unpack my entire luggage, and a nice bathroom. A huge mosquito net covered the bed, which felt great, and the fan worked fine since I was already acclimatised by that point in the trip (note that there are both fan and air‑con rooms, so check when booking). The pool was lovely, with a shallow end ideal for small children, and it was surrounded by enough greenery to feel private even while swimming; the chalets facing it shared that vibe. My patio was the real highlight—I had a hammock, a hammock chair, and a two‑seater set out there and spent most of my days just reading in the hammock. The room was near the road but on a quiet dirt road, so there was barely any noise. Check‑in was easy, no set time required, and they accommodated me even though I booked last minute. Food at the on‑site restaurant was good and fairly priced. Parking for the scooter is behind a gate with a security guard, so that felt safe. A big bonus for the area was the Old Plantation nearby with amazing views, good dive centres close by, and Cabagnow Cave Pool (the sinkhole you jump into with crystal‑clear blue water) is just around the corner and was genuinely one of the best things I did on the whole trip. The pool could use a scrub at the bottom. There’s some daytime construction noise from a property being built down the hill (Oct 2026), though they were respectful and quiet at night. There is no 24‑hour reception; staff head home at night but stay pretty late. It’s not on the beach—you’ll need to drive there and pay an entrance fee since the nearby beaches are all through private land, but it’s worth it; the sand is gorgeous and good for families, just not really a swimming or snorkeling beach. The property sits a bit far from town down a bumpy dirt road, fine with a scooter but something to know going in, and honestly I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you don’t have your own transport or aren’t willing to arrange a taxi for every outing.
