The hotel makes a good impression overall and the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Unfortunately the room is extremely small; traveling with a partner leaves no space even for two small suitcases except on the floor. There is no air conditioning, and the small window can only be tilted, so no fresh air enters the room. Even after asking the reception, there was still no way to open the window fully, and they offered us a fan instead. Thus the nights were spent in 30 °C recirculated air, which was not restful. This wasn’t during the peak summer with high outdoor temperatures, but rather during a typical Hamburg summer with rain and 15 °C.
