“Enttäuschendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis – Einziger Lichtblick war die Massage”
The only highlight was the massage: a huge compliment to the therapist! The application was fantastic, highly professional, and warm – a complete contrast to the rest of the house’s service. NIGHTFALL (October 2026): Nearly two months after our stay, we received a bill for €3.50 for a minibar water, along with the wish “Nice bike tour yet.” According to the hotel, this was a technical resend of an email from the day of departure. That original email never reached us. We paid the amount immediately. No apology followed; instead, the owner sent an email with personal remarks about my alleged dissatisfaction and my “resentment.” This unfortunately confirms our overall impression: high prices (over €750 for one night) but little competence in dealing with guests. On our bike trip (from Füssen through various places, including Lermoos, Bolzano, and Brixen back to Munich) we stayed in 14 different accommodations. Except for this one, we were satisfied everywhere. The boutique hotel Acherl was a big disappointment – especially given a price of over €750 for three people for a single night. Elsewhere we experienced significantly more comfort, cuisine, and genuine hospitality for far less money. Our detailed criticisms: First impression & room: The reception feels more like a jumble of random items and sales items than an inviting entrance. The rooms are clean, but the laminate floor is quite dated and not really “boutique.” Our bathroom was cramped, old, and not very appealing. No service for questions: Between 17:45 and 18:15 I tried to ask the reception for directions to the massage, which is poorly signposted. Despite ringing three times, the reception was completely unstaffed. Result: I was 15 minutes late for my treatment. Underground restaurant service: The staff seemed neither attentive nor proactive. After a long wait for drinks and constant questions about whether the next course could be served, we eventually annoyedingly canceled the dessert. The 3‑course menu was also, unfortunately, not a highlight taste-wise. Confusing “billing”: Water is charged. Especially odd: For the included afternoon snack, coffee must be paid extra – even though it comes from the exact same machine as the breakfast, where it’s included. Conclusion: We have no extravagant demands, but those who charge premium prices must deliver corresponding quality and service. We would not book here again.
