Hotel Shpija e Gjyshit

The hotel is located in a very beautiful spot. The view from the restaurant is lovely, and breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the river. The pool is good. For inexperienced drivers, reaching the hotel can be challenging because the road is quite steep.

“Lieu idyllique et paisible.”

The view of the Guna River and the fortress was stunning, and the place was so calm. Breakfast was excellent, and they even offered an upgrade. The on‑site restaurant was superb, and the pool stayed open until 23:00. Nothing else to mention.

The staff were friendly and did their best to resolve issues. The hotel has two sections; rooms in the old part are terrible and sometimes downright dangerous. We didn’t use the balcony because the rail was rotted. After complaining about a drainage issue in the room, we were moved to a newer section and that room was fantastic. If you dine in the restaurant, you must book inside because outside the cats literally jump onto your table.

The view of the river was magnificent, and the facilities—swimming pool, sauna, and ping‑pong table—were fantastic. The rooms were a bit noisy, but that didn’t outweigh all the other positives. The restaurant and breakfast served good food, and we especially enjoyed the indoor pool.

The value for money was outstanding. The location was great, and the pool/whirlpool on the lower floor was a bit cool but still lovely. The sauna was free to use. The room was small, but it was enough for two to three nights. The breakfast buffet could have offered a bit more variety.
