We can only recommend this accommodation. It’s quiet, and the host is truly a kind-hearted person. He’s attentive, incredibly helpful in every way, funny, and also a great cook. When possible, he prepares meals with ingredients and fruit from his garden or the surroundings ❤️ He pays close attention to the environment and tries not to produce too much waste, which isn’t common in Sri Lanka. The accommodation itself is solid and nicely furnished. If the weather allows, you can dine on a rooftop or just chill in the evenings 😎 From our balcony we saw many different beautiful birds, even a Kingfisher. If fate brings us back to this area, we’ll gladly visit again.

I stumbled upon a surprisingly charming and beautiful spot, where the owner is kind and caring and cooks great meals—both breakfast and dinner were tasty and well presented. The place is surrounded by nature, bird life, and farmland, and it’s so close to Colombo that you can easily explore adventures nearby like rock climbing, floodlit golf, and a go-kart track. I wish I had stayed longer… ❤️👊🇱🇰

“Horrible and death treating experience”

The location was fine, but at checkout I ran into a cash shortage because the hotel didn’t accept UPI payments. I told the owner I’d finish checking out by 12:30 PM and left my 12‑year‑old son in the room while I went to Colombo to withdraw money. On my way back, the owner called me repeatedly, shouting and threatening that my son would be thrown out of the room if I didn’t return immediately. When I got back, my son was outside the room, crying and visibly distressed. The staff continued shouting aggressively, made insulting and discriminatory remarks—stating “Pakistan is better than India” and accusing us of being frauds. The behaviour was extremely unprofessional and humiliating. Even after I explained the situation and settled the payment, the shouting persisted, making the situation intimidating to the point where I felt unsafe and feared physical confrontation. I chose to stay calm and leave with my son to avoid further escalation. This incident caused severe emotional distress to both me and my child, who is still in shock. I plan to file an official complaint with the embassy about this unacceptable and disrespectful treatment.

“I had a wonderful stay”

Amandra was an excellent host, always up for a chat, who cooked delicious authentic Sri Lankan dishes and taught me how to cook some. The spot is beautiful with lots of wildlife around, which added to the experience. The room was neat and tidy.

“Over all it is a nice quiet place to stay.”

The place is close to rock climbing, and my room was clean with a bcn and sunset view—very quiet and chill if you need to wind down. The shower had no hot water, and the host gave wrong information about train stops, which almost got me fined.
