The historic building has a very cool aesthetic, and a Freemasons meeting was happening while I stayed, adding to the vibe. The staff were friendly. It’s attached to a good sandwich shop. There’s a bit of mold in the bathroom, but nothing too concerning. The front desk isn’t staffed after 4 or 5 pm, so checking in can be a hassle, and you can’t leave bags while you’re out for the day.

This place was really cool to stay at—very unique. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was huge! The elevator is old‑school and a bit clunky, but that’s part of its charm.

The location is perfect; I was at a conference at the National Library, and the Wellesley is central, close to everything. Getting on and off the elevator with lots of bags while traveling solo can be tricky, but otherwise this is a truly special place.

The room was spacious, and Jessica, a friendly and helpful staff member, assisted us after hours when we locked ourselves out; the staff were very apologetic, helpful, and prompt, and I also loved the lift.

The place had a very grand, cluedo‑esque atmosphere, and the rooms were large with comfy beds and effective light‑blocking blinds that made the stay comfortable.
